WURO recognises that handling personal and farm data appropriately is critical to maintaining trust and ensuring compliance with data protection laws. Therefore, the Company has adopted appropriate data systems, privacy, and security measures to ensure that it shall not knowingly violate the rights of individuals through its data collection and processing activities.

Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this Data Privacy and Protection Policy (hereinafter "Policy") is to explain how WURO collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal and farm data processed through the WURO App and other Company services, in accordance with applicable national and international data protection regulations.

This Policy applies to users of the WURO App and digital services, employees, contractors, and agents who process data on behalf of WURO, Partners and third parties with whom WURO shares data for legitimate business purposes.

In the event of any conflict between this Policy and national legislation, national legislation shall prevail.

The Company recognises it has the responsibility to protect confidential, restricted, and/or sensitive data from unwarranted disclosure, loss, or damage to avoid adversely affecting our staff and stakeholders from whom we collect data. Handling commercial and personal data in an ethical manner is in line with WURO's values, and the Company shall apply all necessary resources and implement all necessary measures to ensure that the rights of individuals are protected.

Name, phone number, email address, and location used for account setup and identification.

Farm Data

Information related to your livestock, crops, farm activities, and sales recorded on the app.

Device & Usage Data

Device type, app logs, IP address, and language preferences used to improve performance and app functionality.

Payment Data

Mobile-money or bank account details required for making or receiving payments through the app.

Use of Data

WURO collects and processes data for the following purposes:
